"My very first viewing of Groovy Lips & the Yang was one of complete astonishment.
I was amazed at the combination of sounds and pure organic nature of the group. Paul Boon
approaches the didgeridoo with an approach that is nothing short of inspirational and
combined with Clifton Bieundurry, a vocalist/front man who sings in both English and
his traditional Walmajarri language with an intensity that will leave you breathless.
It has been an honour to be asked to collaborate with Groovy Lips & the Yang on a
number of projects including their recent tour of the USA.
It was refreshing to see that at the "South by Southwest Festival" (SxSW), where
thousands of musicians were performing from all over the world, Groovy Lips & the
Yang make such an impact. This impact was validated at the "Red Cat Jazz Café" in
Houston. A venue that is associated with pure Hard-core Jazz, to be totally absorbed
with the uniqueness of the group.
Groovy Lips & the Yang has the ability to entertain, educate and take you on a
journey that is truly special".
